Farm House Restoration

Site Location: Roscommon, Ireland

Project Type: Renovation & Extension

Stage: Planning Application

This restoration of a 19th century farmhouse included a rear extension to introduce an open plan kitchen, living, dining room as well as a master bedroom suite that looks out over the countryside. A mono-pitch roof was chosen to ensure the proposed roof line did not exceed the existing roof pitch to adhere to the Roscommon Rural Guidelines. This style roof also draws you toward the view and allows additional light in the upstairs rooms.
