This design for a 270sqm home in Roscommon town is a modern interpretation of traditional gable houses in Ireland. By splitting the house by a flat roof section and adding skylights it allows additional light into the center of the house. The use of stone responds to the traditional Irish cottages whilst the timber around the entrance is a contemporary use of a sustainable material. This project was designed for JLCE.
